These screws strip easily and the plastic and glue designed to hold them in their holes turns into dust and the now-disturbed surrounding plastic fractures and flakes into a substance roughly the same consistency as dirt. Try to put it back together, there’s nothing left for the screws to hold onto. It’s comparable to putting screws into the old rotten holes on an old rotten deck.
